One of our favorite local publications 303 Magazine has compiled an extensive list of black-owned businesses operating in Denver Metro. We have highlighted a few of these businesses below but also encourage you to use the link to view the list in its entirety. We find sharing resources such as this is a vital practice given our current social climate.

Value, respect, and be kind to one another.

Bar Helix
Bar
Brand new just two years ago and already award winning this chic lounge offers an extensive menu of specialty cocktails, wine, beer, cider, and delicious small plates. It is Denver’s first and only Negroni bar with an incredible location in the heart of RiNo. To cope with the changing demands of COVID, the bar and lounge has resourcefully pivoted to a seasonal pop up by the elusive name of Cabana X. They have expanded their patio area to be reminiscent of a vacation getaway to tropical Tulum or posh Palm Beach. Reserve your Denver cabana today! Your exotic destination awaits!

Buzz Cafe
Coffee Shop & Cafe
Located where Alamo Placita, Historic Country Club, and Cheeseman Park neighborhoods meet is this quaint coffee shop and cafe. The building is a converted gas station replete with a vintage gas pump overhang that now serves as a convenient drive-thru. Stop by for your friendliest, most delicious neighborhood cup of joe.

Cleo Parker Robinson Dance
Non-Profit Dance Studio & Theater Venue
This non-profit organization celebrating African heritage and the communal power of dance has been serving the community of Five Points and the larger Denver area for almost fifty years. However, they recently announced several online resource options including a virtual summer dance program.

They are operating under limited hours in response to COVID so check their website before stopping by in person.
