We can all agree that these are unprecedented times. As the COVID-19 pandemic spreads across the globe, we are especially aware of the fact that we don’t know what the future holds. That being said, have we ever?
Understand the Market
While it is crucially important to be informed and take the recommended precautionary measures to minimize the impact of this virus, it is also just as important not to panic. Let’s stop this spreading pandemic as well as the fear it mongers. Now more than ever, with the COVID-19 pandemic, we must seek out reliable information based in fact. We must make rational and reasonable decisions to keep our families and communities safe as we navigate these unfortunate circumstances. We will get through this having been reminded what truly matters to each of us.
Unlike many other economic sectors who have tragically borne the brunt of this pandemic, real estate remains sound. Interest rates are still historically low and there is still a well-balanced supply and demand. A flash survey conducted by the National Association of Realtors, 87% of realtors have experienced no change in the amount of homes on the market and 77% have experienced no changes in home seller behavior (even in California and Washington where reports of COVID infections are the highest in the country). Both buyers and sellers withstand. In fact, as the volatile stock market takes a hit, real estate becomes one of the most logical investments to consider putting withdrawn funds. Land remains our most reliable asset.

A Clean Home is A Healthy Home is A Happy Home
Here are some great tips to keep your home extra clean during this quarantine. Some of them are great time wasters and all will help ensure the health and wellness of your family:
-Clean your kitchen. Some of the most harmful bacteria exist in your kitchen. Clean out your fridge and scrub your sink (especially the faucet handle).
-Open your blinds to minimize the accumulation of dust. There are studies that link sunlight to san inactivation of some bacteria. In addition, it will sync your family’s internal clock as they are confined indoors as well boost the body’s production of Vitamin D which can prevent certain health issues. It should also help keep you alert and more focused as you work remotely from home and are forced to stare at a computer for the next few weeks.
-Clean your washing machine. Yes, even though it is a cleaning agent itself, constant use can result in bacteria build up and even mold. Use white vinegar and baking soda to scrub the inside and around the door seal and basin rim. It also helps to leave the lid open between cycles to dry out.
-Check on your toothbrush holder. It may need to be cleaned. Also consider washing it in the dishwasher if possible and then once clean storing it as far away from the toilet as possible. Washing your hands before brushing your teeth will also minimize bacterial build up.
-Vacuum carpets and clean rugs. These are especially hubs for bacterial growth.
-Similar to your washing machine, your dishwasher can also promote the growth of mold. Use a dishwasher tablet to run through a cycle without dishes.
-You use it every day but have you ever thought to clean it? Your coffee maker should be cleaned periodically using diluted white vinegar. Most coffee-makers have a cleaning setting making it easy and effortless.
-Computer keyboards are known for hosting a bacterium that can cause sickness. Clean your keyboards by dumping them over a waste basket to remove debris and dust and then follow up by wiping the keys down with a damp disinfectant cloth.
Good Personal Health Practices…
-Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly for at least 30 seconds.
-Keep wipes and hand sanitizer in various places throughout your home to remind you to disinfect surfaces.
-Pick a buddy and remind each other to disinfect again when either has touched their own face or mouth and touched other surfaces.
