Vail & Beaver Creek
Home to the world-famous resorts of Vail and Beaver Creek, these ski towns offer more than 300 runs of terrain for skiers, hikers, and bikers. They also have several luxury hotels, fine dining establishments, and local boutiques. The town of Vail hosts many seasonal community events. These include concerts and performances at the stunning Gerald R. Ford Ampitheater, a Fourth of July Parade through Vail Village, ski and snowboard competitions on Gold Peak, and weekly farmers markets. Beaver Creek also hosts many signature events ranging from beer and wine festivals to annual fireworks. A notable event includes the World Cup ski racing competition & the Beaver Creek Rodeo. These special resorts, just minutes apart, deserve so much more than a seasonal visit. Year-round, there is always something to enjoy!
Aspen
Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley aren’t only famous for their world class skiing at Aspen-Snowmass and Buttermilk resorts; they are also a leader in arts and culture events in the Rocky Mountain region hosting an annual film, music, and ideas festival. Aspen is frequented by celebrities and oftentimes depicted in films. It has a designer shopping district and several distinguished dining establishments. It also has beautiful hiking and biking trails enjoyed by summertime visitors including the illustrious Maroon Bells.
Telluride
Telluride is the quaintest and most secluded of these resort towns giving it a particular kind of rustic charm. Nestled in a deep valley among the towering ski resort and San Juan mountains, it may also boast some of the most spectacular views in the state. Many of the town’s establishments are laid-back and local. You’ll find farm-to-table restaurants, organic markets, and eclectic shops. Spend a few hours exploring the town’s village-like downtown and you may never want to leave.
Steamboat
Steamboat is in Northwest Colorado and is known for both its skiing and its ranching. Here, cowboy and ski bum collide for an active, energetic, and tight-knit community. The town hosts many annual events including the Steamboat Winter Carnival which has a skijoring event to pay homage to the town’s western heritage, Oktoberfest filled with beer and food tasting events all over town, and the Hot Air Balloon Rodeo creating colorful skies and the opportunity to participate in fun small-town traditions. In the summer, people visit simply to attend the gorgeous natural Strawberry Hot Springs. Any time of year, the wild west of Steamboat Springs awaits!
