This little quarry town, about a half an hour south of Denver, has come a long way since its inception in 1878. Community

This little municipality, with a current population of just over 65k people, is nestled halfway between Denver and Colorado Springs. The town, located on the foothills of the great Rocky Mountains, is just below a big beautiful rock that gives the town its name. Living here comes with all of the advantages of a small community but still places residents in close proximity to larger cities. Parks, golf courses, and the scenic Ridgeline Trail offer plenty of opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.

Livability

A little over five years ago Castle Rock also became home to the Outlets at Castle Rock. The Outlets are a modern outdoor shopping center with popular stores and restaurants. This is also where the city hosts regular events and festivals including the annual Starlighting, at which a star is lit atop the city’s namesake rock. Activities around town also include an outdoor ice rink open in the winter months.
